Vacation Savings Plan: Does a Vacation Savings Plan Really Work?

Saving the Conventional Way for Vacation May Sound Like a Good Idea but Does it Really Work?

How to Really Save Money For Vacation...

Okay so you may be "resolving" all over the place now that the new year is underway.  Television talk shows, infomercials, and commercials all over the place are now hovering for your "savings" dollars.  Knowing that humans want to go on vacation, many banks are now entering the world of Vacation Savings Plans, which sound no different than the average Vacation Savings Plan.

Vacation Savings Plan: How They Work.

Before now, the average person who wanted to enjoy a simple vacation would have to save.  The first step would to be to find a place where you can remotely afford.  Without any booking of any vacations, the traveling dreamer would start a savings plan at their local bank to try to save for portions of the vacation at a time in hopes that the price, or even the vacation... is still there.

Emerging travel sites offer significant discounts to those who are ready to vacation now.  Prices are selected for very restricted time periods and the average vacationer does not have the money in the time period allotted on the travel site to pay for vacation.

Vacation Savings Plan: How They Do Not Work.

The problem comes in when the average vacationer lives life.  Life happens.  If we have kids, cars, homes, family members, or other responsibilities, these can easily come before that "vacation".  Most of us find that our Vacation Savings Plans is just a regular rainy day savings.  No matter how much we try to steer clear of expenditures, ultimately the time for vacation comes and we do not have the Vacation Savings Plan that we resolved to have in the beginning of the year.  Why?

Life happened.

Some may argue that if they touch their Vacation Savings Plan before the allotted time, that they will get charged for every withdrawal.  What they do not argue is that this only gives reason to empty the Vacation Savings Plan upon first withdrawal because, who wants to keep paying fees for their own money?  In addition, if you have a regular savings, a Christmas savings, a Health savings, and a Retirement savings, then your money is being cut pretty low.  When problems or emergencies rise and there is no money in the already shortened savings, then what comes next?

The Vacation Savings Plan.  It is the least important of the others because of it's time limit, who it involves, and the fact that you do have some access to the money.  We can argue about how Vacation Savings Plans work for some but you have to be committed to savings first. Those who have a problem saving wouldn't dare dream of a Vacation Savings Plan.  They have to fill the others first.

Vacation Savings Plan: Make it Work.

To solve this never-ending problem of saving money for vacation, assuming vacationers can now save for vacation through the travel or vacation club.  Every month vacation club members are saving money for their vacations... and going.

How?

The issue with "savings" is no longer there.  When vacation club members pay their monthly dues, they are actually putting their money into a virtual Vacation Savings Plan where the money can no longer be touched.  Even if the vacation club member decides not to be in the club any longer, they will not be able to touch these funds... they are for relaxation only!

Members are a part of a travel club, this means there is year round access to vacations, all-inclusive, cheap, trips, excursions, getaways, and destinations all year round.  One does not have to find where they "may" want to go first and hope that the vacation is there AND is affordable.  The vacation club makes sure that these two constants remain.

Through the vacation club... members have stopped doing this...

And are doing this instead.
